Forging Elite Faith

The first ever CrossFit Games hit the world by storm in 2007. What I enjoy is their continual mission “forging elite fitness.” Two words pop out in their mission statement, forge and elite. ‘Forge’ means to form by heating, hammering, and beat into shape. When we physically workout we are getting into shape from being beat from physical stress and strain on the body. The word ‘elite’ means the best of the best, people who are virtuous through position or education and desire to exercise much power. When we know the meaning behind words we can feel a sense of greater purpose and have a fierce focus to what lies ahead.

I know we would like to be in elite company such as a hall of famer, veteran player, and even an elite fitness competitor. This requires great sacrifice of continual work ethic. This also requires a firm belief that you will reach that kind of stage even on days when no progress is made. We have to push ourselves in slightly uncomfortable situations to adapt and overcome. As we strive further in life we must come to realize that this is God’s natural calling upon our lives to be elite. He calls us to be the elite of the elite. He call us to be better and be able to exercise much power through our lives, which is His power. The Lord forge’s us and desires us to be the elite of the elite in our faith. The Bible is the element that heats us up and forges us into a new minded person that relies solely on faith. A type of faith that is unstoppable, unshakable, immovable, and fully trusting. When we achieve such faith we can tap into the Almighty and the Power of God completely.

Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord [always doing your best and doing more than is needed], being continually aware that your labor [even to the point of exhaustion] in the Lord is not futile nor wasted [it is never without purpose]. 1 Corinthians 15:58 AMP

Forge faith creates an increase intensity for intimacy with Him. Hammering us into better shape and placing us into a different class. Ultimately, transforming us into valiant warriors ready to battle daily and know that God will prevail in any circumstance. This is elite faith. How can you develop elite faith? By truly believing in the Word, the power of God, and surrendering to His will. Here are some actions steps:

• When you pray believe as you already received it.

• Give Him your all and stand firm on His promises.

 • Truly trust Him with your life in all aspects.

This kind of faith with forge you into a new person, but honestly the person God desires us to be. A person who motivates others towards good works and proclaiming the Kingdom of Heaven. God’s greatest heroes are those who had elite faith in Him. Due to their faith they were victorious and valiant. “By faith these people overthrew kingdoms, rule with justice, and received what God had promised them. They shut the mouths of lions, quenched the flames of fire, and escaped death by the edge of the sword. Their weakness was turned to strength. They became strong in battle and put whole armies to flight.” (Hebrews 11:33-34)

CrossFit does a fantastic job forging elite fitness with high intensity interval training. The Word of God does a fantastic job forging elite faith with high intensity intimacy training with a fully trusting relationship with Jesus Christ.
