Furnish Within

The best nights in the winter are bonfires with friends. You get to talk, laugh, and get hypnotized watching the flames. Fires are powerful and it amazes me how quickly they can spread. It doesn’t take much to start a fire. You just need the proper environment, logs, and a match. Once the fire starts it takes a long time till the finally flame burns out, but the flame has to be lit first.

Ever been so passionate for something that you were on fire for it? That’s the a true fire. Filled with enthusiasm, belief, and completely confident in it. Then when your fire so hot it can spread to others very easily because people feed off of others energy. This type of fire reminds me of a story in the bible in Daniel. Three men were being penalized for their faith and this is what happened when they were in the flames.

Daniel 3:24-25;27  “But suddenly, Nebuchadnezzar jumped up in amazement and exclaimed to his advisers, "Didn't we tie up three men and throw them into the furnace?" "Yes, Your Majesty, we certainly did," they replied. "Look!" Nebuchadnezzar shouted. "I see four men, unbound, walking around in the fire unharmed! And the fourth looks like a god!" Then the high officers, officials, governors, and advisers crowded around them and saw that the fire had not touched them. Not a hair on their heads was singed, and their clothing was not scorched. They didn't even smell of smoke!”What’s powerful about this story is these three men had a passion for God. They had full belief, enthusiasm, and fully trusting in Him. They had such a fire within themselves that they didn’t get burned.

What’s powerful about this story is these three men had a passion for God. They had full belief, enthusiasm, and fully trusting in Him. They had such a fire within themselves that they didn’t get burned. Why? Because same elements can’t harm each other. When a flame merges with another flame it gets bigger, but the flame itself is fine. Its when you put different elements together like fire and ice. The fire will immediately melt the ice into water.

It’s important to be fired up for something. You fully believe in it and hyped about it. If you lost your fire. Get yourself back in the proper environment for a fire to thrive. Then keep the flame lit constantly and don’t let it go out from negativity, sin, or disbelief. Also, realize that no matter what God is for you. He says in Isaiah 43:2 “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.” There is no reason to fear. If you have the same element and fire in you for God. Then you will not get burned. Have a fire for God and see your passion come to life.
